Electronic Medical Records Solutions (EMR)*

An Electronic Medical Record (EMR) (also known as Electronic Health Record) is any type of electronic, concurrent medical information management system. An EMR system improves efficiency and quality in patient care through integrated decision support, better information storage and retrieval, and data sharing capabilities. EMR systems allow providers and other health care professionals to access and share information quickly, which enables them to work more efficiently and make better quality decisions. You may have heard about federal funds that are available as incentives for providers to adopt and effectively use EMR tools. Certified EMR tools will assist you in meeting the meaningful use requirements to qualify for these incentives.
